Topics Constructing a digital archive of Nuosu Yi

2022/12/25

This IRC project which started in 2021 is proceeding with building of a digital collection of materials from Nuosu Yi, a Tibeto-Burman language. As an outcome, we launched “Nuosu Yi Digital Archive (NYDA)” in March 2022.

NYDA includes recordings of the Nuosu Yi syllabary, basic words and various sentence structures for researchers who are interested in the language. The NYDA webpages are available in two sets of bilingual pages: (a) Japanese and English, and (b) Nuosu Yi and Chinese. A short history and cultural introduction is also available on NYDA.

Plots can be downloaded for free, but access to audio files for academic use requires permission.
