Events 【Finished】Technical Workshop “Text editors for editing documents: various uses of find and replace”

2019/10/08

Technical Workshop aims at transmitting useful ideas and knowledge for research to researchers and students related to fieldwork and documentation of minority languages and endangered languages.

This workshop introduces a way of using “text editors.” Many of you maybe uses word processing software specialized to text editing such as MS words, but it is sometimes more efficient and appropriate to use “text editors,” applications specialized in creating text files (file format consisting of only text information). This workshop informs you of the features of text file and the way to use text editors focusing on advanced work for find and replace functions. We use Microsoft Visual Studio Code.
