Public Availability of the “Asai Collection” in Digital Format at the ILCAA

The ILCAA is in possession of the late Professor Asai Erin’s research notebooks and manuscripts. They have been digitized in DVD-R format, making them available to the public (but only at the ILCAA library). An online release is being planned for the near future.

The Qing wen hui shu (1751) is a Manchu-Chinese dictionary that consists of 12 volumes. As a project of the Information Resources Center, we digitized a copy currently held in a private collection. This website provides digital images of the volumes.

These are software keyboards used in internet browsers for Mongolian and related languages. Alphabets for some Mongolic languages can easily be entered in one’s browser. The keyboards you can input on this website are as follows: 1) Cyrillic alphabets for Mongolian, Buryat, and Kalmyk; 2) Vertical Mongolian script; and 3) Latin alphabets for transliteration of vertical Mongolian.
Digitization of Matsya Project microfilms

In the 1980s, the Smithsonian Museum microfilmed the manuscripts of 1679 works related to Vaiṣṇavism held in libraries and temples in India, under the title of “the Matsya Project.” We, as a project of the IRC, digitized these microfilms to safeguard against their degradation with age.
